Process
The interview process was quite well-defined. All interviewers adhered to the timeline, and the schedule for the day was shared in advance.
There were four rounds:
- Machine Coding (you need to bring your own laptop)
- System Design
- Problem Solving
- Hiring Manager
Questions
Machine Coding: Implement your own library for ActorSystem. There were a couple of strategies given which had to be implemented.
Design Round: Design an app similar to Inshorts, which polls data from various sites and categorizes it into topics. Users would subscribe to some topics. How would their feed be generated? Details of all APIs, DB choices, etc. were requested.
Problem Solving: A heap-based easy problem. A DP problem was given: using a dictionary and a string, find out if the string can be built using words from the dictionary.
