Pros

The Union UAW, the pay, and the benefits.

Cons

The plant smelled like oil, and I got used to the smell. There are departments where people die from cancer at a high rate as they get older and work there. I always thought it was the chemicals. Of course, there is no way to prove it.

Advice to Management

Try to figure out a way so that people working on the case line can work with the chemicals without harming themselves.

Perhaps oxygen masks and placing the case line inside a room where the chemical gases in the air are removed via a ventilator that cleans the chemicals from the air somehow.
