Pros
  • Commitment to quality and excellence
  • Higher average pay than other companies in the area
  • Semi-autonomous work environment
  • Excellent training programs
  • Advancement opportunities
  • 100% tuition/books reimbursement while employed
  • No retaliation guarantee for raising concerns
Cons
  • Large campus, lack of personal privacy.
  • Insurance is horrible (office visits are not a $25 copay; you pay all until the deductible is met).
  • Small fish in a big pond; lack of interpersonal relationships you would find at a smaller company.
  • Chain of command gets complicated; tasks are re-prioritized frequently.
Advice to Management
  • Work closer with employees on career goals and allow them to spread their wings (advancement).
  • Promote self-assessments, manager assessments, and team assessments.
  • Promote volunteerism outside of the company.
