GE is a great company for people who want to challenge themselves and grow professionally. The level of employees there is very high: smart, professional, and hard-working. The company is so large that there are a lot of career opportunities in several different industries.
GE is known for being very numbers-focused, and it's true. It seems like everything is measured, and without solid financial support, it's hard to get a project approved. This means that they struggle with taking risks.
They also have a forced employee ranking system, where only the top 10 employees can get excellent ratings and nice salary increases. This leaves many great employees discouraged.
Remove the forced employee ranking system!
Wonderful interviewers, from the Manager to the Managing Director, they were all so welcoming, easy to speak with, extremely intelligent, and made you really excited to want to come to work every day.
I interviewed with HR and didn't meet my boss until my first day. The questions were related to "tell me about a time you failed at something" and "tell me about a time you had a conflict with a co-worker." I enjoyed the interview, and I felt comfort
Many interviews it took, like 10 interviews, to make any headway. Looks like I did not get the job again and again and again. Now it's going to be better than before. One, two, three. It was done and then it was.
