GM is a large company and can offer a wide variety of opportunities within the company if you make connections.
GM offers great work-life balance for its employees. However, you have no job security. They can let you go at any moment, no matter who you are.
Laying off hurts the company as much as it hurts the employees.

HackerRank first round sent after submitting application. Did not make it past this round, so I do not know the rest. Rejection came a few weeks after confidently completing the fairly easy questions.
