Overall, it was a great interview process that was straightforward and completed in a reasonable timeframe. I think the process took two to three weeks total.
The interview questions, which were small coding exercises completed in a paired programming session with the interviewer, weren't super difficult. However, they definitely covered the fundamentals of JavaScript (Node) and React.
The design portion was a little tricky because it was more open-ended, but drawing everything out and giving as much detail as possible was probably the best approach.
I designed a user flow within a hypothetical app using a sequence diagram, covering "happy paths" and describing error handling as well as other adverse behavior.
All of the interviewers I spoke with were really nice and welcoming, and I genuinely enjoyed the conversations.
General code pairing sessions to work on React components or JavaScript exercises (think medium-level LeetCode).
