Process

The interview process consists of the following three stages (excluding HR introduction and offer process):

  1. Algorithmic Round

    • Three questions (two questions + one sub-question) were asked. This is essentially your LeetCode round; the questions asked were more on the medium range.
  2. System Design Round

    • This was probably my weakest round as I was not very prepared. My interviewer preferred going deep into different aspects and considering the trade-offs. Make sure to communicate well with your interviewer.
  3. Hiring Manager Round

    • I expected it to be more conversational but was quite surprised to find it was a technical interview round. The hiring manager expected you to understand the tools and libraries you use quite deeply.
    • My personal advice for this round is: if you don't understand something very well, just be honest about it and instead highlight the things that you are strong in.

After that is the salary negotiation round. This was when things turned quite sour for me, and thus I decided to decline the offer from Grab.

Questions

  1. Graph-based LeetCode Medium problems.
