Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

The recruiter was friendly. I had applied for a position with Gusto, but the recruiter wanted me to interview for a position with a company they recently acquired, Aurdius.

Setting up the coding interview was quick and easy. The technical interview used Coderpad. The call quality was poor, and I had a hard time hearing the interviewer. It was very muffled, and the audio was low. I mentioned this to the interviewer and had to ask him to repeat things multiple times. I should have stopped the call and asked to reschedule, but I went ahead with it and did the best I could. I finished the problem, but it could have gone much better. There is a similar comment on another review about poor audio quality.

The recruiter and interviewer were both friendly. I was very disappointed about the poor audio quality of the call for the technical interview. I would have preferred to continue interviewing for a role at Gusto.

I received a rejection email the following business day.
