I had an online screening interview with their recruiter, who is based in Ireland. During the interview, their child entered the room, and they asked to pause while I was in the middle of discussing my experience.

I felt I explained my skills and experience well, but they seemed hesitant after I mentioned I am currently based outside the UK. Although I stated I have a valid working visa and relocating to the UK would not be an issue, their excuse was that they need to hire quickly for the role. Initially, they said by the end of the year, but this was changed to before November.

They mentioned they would communicate with their manager and get back to me with an assessment of whether or not they would proceed with me to the next round. It has been a week already, and I have not heard any decision back from them.
