Pros: Unlimited PTO is real. Engineering problems can be fun to solve. Engineering culture is great; people are willing to help out, documentation is nice, and there's no DevOps for product-facing engineers.

Cons: - 401k match is wack. - It's a CRM, so work isn't all that interesting. - No annual bonuses, only annual compensation review based off merit. - Lower RSU grants than FAANG.

Pros: The pay is nice, and the 401k and health benefits are nice.

Cons: The engineering culture has been completely gutted by a leadership that just doesn't care about its employees. They've implemented arbitrary "developer metric goals" across the organization, regardless of the nature of each team's work. All of the greatest perks of working here have been stripped away. Tons of ICs, and even managers, have complained about all the problems, but leadership continues to ignore them. All the "squeaky wheels" are either fired or made so miserable that they quit. Everyone is burning out, and nobody in a position to do anything about it cares.

Cons: Having worked at both FAANG and startups before, I can confidently say that HS has the worst environment. Self-righteous TLs: They seem more interested in bluffing and showing off in public channels rather than genuinely leading. Their careless jokes often create extra work for ICs and change the original plan/agreement, but they don’t seem to care. Toxic culture: Instead of fostering collaboration, the workplace feels like a "Squid Game" competition where people undermine rather than support each other. Cold-blooded management: The lack of empathy from leadership makes everything worse, reinforcing the cutthroat culture. Not Inclusive: prefer not to say details but be careful.
