The interview process began with an initial phone screen with a technical recruiter. We discussed the company, the position, the hiring process, and my background.
Following that, I had an on-site visit. This meeting was primarily to connect with the recruiter and a senior software engineer from one of their internal process teams. It was a great experience; I was shown the facilities and the environment, and I enjoyed talking with my contact.
Subsequently, I completed a timed coding challenge. The task involved scheduling events based on the availability of a given list of participants. The problem proved more difficult than I had anticipated, and as a result, I did not perform as well as I could have.
Therefore, I received the news the following week that they would not be moving forward with my application.
