I received an email asking for my CV and a cover letter, which was optional. After they reviewed this, I was contacted for a technical assessment online.
It was a coding test: fetch an API, process data, and post.
Then, I was contacted for a behavioural interview.
Finally, I was contacted for a technical interview with two software engineers.

Pros: I was completely integrated into a team at HubSpot. I was able to work out of the same job board that the other developers were working on and directly impact the projects and goals the team had.
Cons: I was the only intern on my team, and the issues that I was working on were independent projects.
On top of this, the internship was remote, so it consisted of me working independently without much communication with others for the majority of the internship.

Pros: 1. Great culture - most engineers are very supportive, open-minded, and empathetic.
2. Solid onboarding process - the onboarding project is well-designed. All new members will get exposed to the major HubSpot features by working on a small project including both backend and frontend.
3. Good management - things are usually clarified promptly.
Cons: 1. Challenged business growth - Under the current economic climate, HubSpot might slow down its business expansion compared with previous years. This will result in a hiring freeze and affect career growth opportunities.
