IBM could be a very good investment, but not a good employer

Pros: IBM has excellent executive management, and they know very well how to run a business. I would say IBM is a good investment, but not a good employer. You can learn a lot about business if you are in the management chain at some senior level.
Cons: IBM is not a very well-paying employer. IBM has excellent executive management, but they are quite conservative in passing profits down the line. IBM is always striving to increase margins, and they try that from both ends: increase product/service rates and pay less to employees. In my opinion, this is a short-term view instead of developing a satisfied workforce with high morale.

Pros: Pleasant work environment, schedule flexibility. It's nice to work with engineers from all around the world. Possibility to work either from the office or from home. Learning opportunities allowing employees for education and self-development.
Innovation in a lot of fields.
Cons: Job stability is under big stress. The company spends a lot of effort and focus on the financial growth of the company, leaving the employees' interests behind.

Pros: Very smart and dedicated group of professionals. Good teamwork, especially among US employees. In spite of all uncertainties, most people have a strong sense of loyalty to the company and its clients.
Cons: Lack of career opportunities. One seems to get a lack of direction within the company, and there seems to be a lack of vision on the part of management.
