Process

I was interviewed for the position of an associate software engineer as part of college/campus placements. There was a skills test taken prior to the interview to screen/shortlist candidates for a Group Discussion (GD), followed by a 1:1 interview.

Groups of 8-10 candidates were created for the GD. Five minutes were given for preparations after announcing the topic. Only a small number of candidates were screened out after this GD.

The final 1:1 interview was very easy and generic. The interviewer mostly asked questions about my personality, details of things I had written on my resume, and only discussed one problem from the skills test taken earlier that day.
