I was contacted by a Talent Acquisition and Sourcing Expert from IBM via LinkedIn. We had an initial chat. A technical interview followed, with questions on my work history and experience. I progressed to the next stage and was interviewed by a Vice-President online, face-to-face. The interviewer seemed ill-prepared and initially thought I had a different set of skills before finally finding my CV and notes. Again, I was questioned about my work experiences and the types of clients I had worked with. It seemed the requirement was for experience with a particular industry sector, even though I had a number of years of consultancy experience with Public Sector and large enterprise customers.
After many attempts chasing for an outcome and feedback, I was told I did not get the job because I was "not a consultant level for the position of client they focused on."
Which clients had I worked for?
