It was a good interview process. Scheduling the time was easy, and speaking with the representative from the company felt comfortable. They did send a follow-up that I wasn’t selected for the position, which was nice to at least hear from them with a yes or no.

Pros: Good Place to Start in the Field of IT
Great Training
Great People
Cons: Too many people managers/project managers.
Project managers outweigh the workforce at IBM, and many times projects fail because there are not enough workers on the projects, or they throw the wrong or underqualified people at the project.
Development Centers are run by their own set of rules, opposed to IBM Corporate.
Pay is about 20% less than the local industry average.

Pros: The pay is not bad, technology is tops, and they have some nice people to work with. Currently shifting to cloud and consulting, as well as software; not a hardware play anymore.
Cons: Pay is being cut, people are fired all the time, and we only exist to please Wall Street. A terrible place to work. They make you train your replacement, and the work environment is such that you look over your shoulder all the time for the next chopping block session.
