I found their job post on a job board (Glassdoor.com) and applied through their site directly. A few days later, or about a week after, they called me and invited me for an interview. I was not informed of the written exam.
The written test included numerous coding items and lasted for one hour. The first part consisted of multiple-choice questions, focusing on Java threading and memory management. The second part involved coding exercises, with most items utilizing ArrayList. I was unable to finish the exam, so during the interview, I was asked how I arrived at my answers. I felt I answered them well and convinced them with my responses, but I was wrong to assume that.
I followed up to inquire if I had passed. Unfortunately, I received confirmation that they would not proceed further with my application.
