Pros: Great industry experience, as well as giving back and learning opportunities.

Cons: Large company, so it can be difficult to shine out from the crowd.

Pros: IBM is a good place for a diverse experience across a wide range of areas.

Cons: Stagnant advancement, poor communication with management, and an older workforce. I have been here for less than a year and have received very little feedback and very little contact with management. The opportunity to grow and move up seems to be very difficult because people tend to stay around for a long time. There was very little growth, which also limited career advancement. The workforce average age is rather high, and people seem to be set in their ways of doing things rather than being innovative. Instead of looking for new ways to approach problems, they stick to what they know.

Pros: The company has great people to work with, with lots of experience (many have been there for 15+ years).

Cons: Bloated management, no opportunity to move the needle unless at the executive level, lower than average pay, tremendous pressure.
