Pros: - Great salary, benefits, and 401(k) plan.
- Great work-life balance program.
- Managers are great about having monthly one-on-ones with their employees to discuss performance and business changes. They also allow employees to share their concerns and feedback.
- Amazing and talented people are everywhere in the business, and IBM provides numerous resources to grow your knowledge.
Cons: - Not a 40-hour-a-week job. Although IBM has a strong commitment to work-life balance, if you want a great performance review at the end of the year, you better be willing to make some sacrifices.
- Career paths are virtually non-existent. Employees are left with the responsibility of deciding where they want to go with their career. This may sound great, but rarely does an opportunity arise during a time you'd be approved to leave your current position.

Cons: Narrowly defined organizational roles spread out over many people. Each org and person gets a very narrow slice of scope of responsibility.
