- Very convoluted and lengthy promotion criteria.
- Increments are irregular.
- No allowance for home office, even though work has mostly been remote since the onset of COVID.
- Visibility highly depends on your particular project, and a select few employees who are close to the top management remain in the limelight.
- A lot of work is done on legacy technologies. Experience gained here is only valuable in terms of the brand image of IBM and not the actual skills learned.
