It is a great place to work. Some of the fantastic minds and interesting projects you will find working here. IBM has some of the world's biggest clients. You will not find the culture anywhere else in TCS, Cognizant, or Wipro, etc. Of course, there are exceptions, but mostly managers are understanding and caring. Work-life balance is at its best.
The best way to find the difference is to work here for more than 5 years, find yourself somewhere else for another 5 years, and then come back again. You'll start finding the difference in every step of your daily life. In my previous tenure, I have been to places to support my clients for IBM, and my memories are still fresh of how I was treated with respect, from my local physician's chamber to a letting agent or at the airport during immigration.
On the contrary, the major complaint, of course, is low growth. Mostly, increments are less than 10% if it is not a promotion and a simple salary hike each year. Finally, IBM is a top brand, and if you are here, you will always have an edge.
