It's a hard thing to choose your familiar technology to fulfill your job. When someone needs to use a third-party library, there is always a document required to be signed. Others feel this is not a bad thing.
I know it's hard to use new technology to make a product, but sometimes the new technologies bring a whole new speed to finishing the product.
