People are always willing to help when you ask questions.
Great people, especially the other interns.
Barely any technical work was assigned, even considering the technical nature of the role. Unreal expectations when it came to sales experience needed to succeed. Manager kept moving the bar when it came to his definition of success within the role.
Have clear expectations of what success looks like for your intern, and stick to that. Don't set an expectation, and then keep moving the bar higher and higher. This is degrading to your intern who is trying their absolute best, but could never succeed in your eyes.
The interview was very easy. The coding portion was calm. The internship is great. There's a beautiful internal culture that focuses on freedom and the ability to fail, ask, and improve at any given moment. I love it.
I am looking forward to a day shift with a good package in the software field, either as a software developer or as a DBA.
It was an online assessment for a backend engineer. There were two questions: * One was a simple coding problem. * Another was a MySQL problem which required joining of three tables.
