There is so much to learn.
There is not much chance to apply what you learn unless you pay for your own.
I have a very positive experience in web learning and every year have a minimum of 40 hours of learning. However, there is not much opportunity to apply what you learn in a corporate-managed dev environment. To practice what I have learned, I have to pay for my own AWS and GCP fees and certifications, which are not reimbursable. Since there is not much market value in skills limited to IBM Cloud, once you have a year or two of experience, you have to look for other cloud companies.
I applied for the job on HireTeamMate, which was posted by the hiring manager directly. HireTeamMate is like the Uber for hiring. I was contacted a few hours after applying and had a phone interview the next day.
One behavioral, one technical. The technical interview was LeetCode easy/medium. It had some extensions, but was easy and simple. They do have a tendency to renege, so beware. Be wary of career advancement opportunities; they tend to limit it.
OA was easy, too easy for LeetCode questions. After that, you get a screening email and they ghost you for at least two weeks. My two weeks are not done yet, so I'm waiting for a response from the recruiter.
