Pros
  • Unlimited sick leave.
  • Some really cool and smart engineers that are willing to work long hours.
  • Some snacks.
  • Decent benefits, I guess.
Cons
  • Lots of dumb people who need to get purged from IBM.
  • Lots of good people who don't get compensated well enough and end up leaving.
  • Pay is way below market value.
  • Crappy raises/bonuses.
  • On-call 24/7 is not compensated because of salaried employee status.
  • Senior management blames young millennials for product pitfalls.
  • Employees are treated like McDonald's fast-food employees.
  • Cloud infrastructure looks like crap.
  • Internal employees are the worst to deal with since they escalate everything to Sev 1.
  • Lack of motivation and enthusiasm for products.
Advice to Management

Invest in your employees that will invest in your products. Stop giving them crappy raises/bonuses. Good employees will leave, and all you get in the end are the bottom feeders.
