One of the best things about IBM is all of the flexibility. If you're a strong contributor and are forward about what you want from the company, most managers will work with you to make your goals happen, but you have to spearhead this effort. Additionally, there are many teams to switch to or between if you find yourself not liking your current role.
You have to look out for yourself. If you are not careful, many managers will work you way more than 40 hours a week, and the job can be very stressful. Set clear limits about your hours, accessibility from home, etc.
Work-life balance! Many teams are working way too hard, especially as layoffs remove people, but project requirements are not changed.
This was a very simple interview process. There was a personal interview and two one-on-one technical interviews. The basics were asked, as it was an entry-level job.
Very casual interview done over lunch at a local restaurant near school. I didn't ask many hard questions; I just tried to get to know the candidate. The candidate submitted their resume, credentials, etc., online and also took an online math diagno
I spoke with three different "recruiters," and they rescheduled my Guide interview three times. Sometimes, this rescheduling occurred only hours before the interview was supposed to take place. Since I already had an offer from elsewhere, I canceled
