IBM is a great company with lots of opportunities and good people to work with. Contractors here work alongside directly employed engineers on the same project, which doesn't happen in most companies that give contractors dedicated work, usually not very important or interesting.
Being a contractor in IBM also has disadvantages, most of which are in the way IBM treats contractors (IBM as an organization, not direct managers).
As an organization, it has a policy that sometimes makes contractors feel like 'second-class citizens'.
Change 'second-class citizen' policy. Contractors are part of the projects and part of the IBM ecosystem. So treat them accordingly.
I had a good and great experience. Mostly behavioral questions were asked, such as situational questions. One coding question and technical questions were also asked in the face-to-face interview.
The interview process was simple. 1. I received a call from the Recruiter. 2. I set up an initial interview with the Mentor and the Team Manager. Both the manager and the mentor were very helpful. They gave me the chance to work my way to the soluti
The typical interview process included some design and coding questions, as well as soft skills questions. The programming portion involved a list-based activity and another focused on recursive approaches. We then moved into specifics of OS skills
