IBM is stable and has good benefits and salary.
Too much bureaucracy. Too short-sighted in the sense of sacrificing long-term benefits for short-term achievements. Penny wise and pound foolish.
Why pretend my opinion matters?
Don't offer me courses on how to be a better parent at the same time you are telling me that nights and weekends are mandatory for months on end.
Don't tell people they can still have their Friday vacation day, but they are expected to work that Saturday and Sunday.
I met with a recruiter at the Spring Engineering Career Fair at the University of Iowa. He took my resume, and we talked a little. Shortly afterward, I received an e-mail from IBM asking to set up a phone interview. A couple of hours after the phone
The process started with an initial assessment (OA), followed by a questionnaire. Next, there was a standard 30-minute to one-hour behavioral interview. I did not make it past that stage, so I am unsure what to expect afterward.
It was a nice process. They reached out via my university email, and we had a short interview process where they mostly asked system questions. I was also asked questions related to GitHub.
