Great company to work for! A lot of pride goes behind being an IBMer, and that's what was mostly conveyed to me. I was given some really interesting projects and met fantastic people. I was treated like an equal as opposed to just an intern. My opinions were valued just as anyone else's!
The social experience was the most lacking. I was here for 8 months, and in the January-May stretch, I couldn't find any other interns or people my age. It was definitely a little disheartening. But the summer has made up for it!
As horrible as this sounds, people my age love free stuff. Mugs, t-shirts, sweatshirts, food, etc.
Also, more tours! There are so many IBM sites. I'm a sucker for anything hardware (mechanical engineer) and I'd love either a virtual tour or tours of other sites (the close ones).
The interview process consists of one phone interview followed by an onsite interview. The onsite review is not challenging and includes a presentation, a lab tour, and a one-on-one meeting. During the one-on-one meeting, some basic technical quest
HackerRank assessment with one coding question about profitable pairs and one SQL question to join tables and find a value. There is still no update from the team, and I'm guessing it's a ghost job.
The typical interview process included some design and coding questions, as well as soft skills questions. The programming portion involved a list-based activity and another focused on recursive approaches. We then moved into specifics of OS skills
