Process

Four-stage interview:

  1. CV screening.
  2. Take-home test, quite easy but time-consuming.
  3. Meeting with the team.
  4. Virtual onsite interviews over two days.

Problem: It was all great until the virtual onsite interviews. In one of my interviews, the interviewer told me I would be coding on her machine. However, I had a German keyboard, and she could not provide a German keyboard layout. I had to code using a German keyboard with a US keyboard layout. I offered to code on my machine, however, she refused, saying I had to do this on her machine because she could not share the tests. I refused, and we ended the interview. Thirty minutes later, I got rejected. It is disgusting to blame the interviewee for the interviewer's incompetency. I will never interview with IMC ever again.
