Politics Over Performance, Bad
Software Engineer • Former Employee
Phoenix, Arizona, United States
May 25, 2016
Pros: Decent work-life balance, as long as you finish your tasks. The cafe is decent, and free fruit is a plus. The fitness center is really good.
Cons: Highly politics driven. Performance review is not based on your performance at all. Layoffs targeted at people who didn't deserve them; instead, those who are zero asset to the company continue to thrive.

Decent health benefits.
High level of autonomy.
Great place to learn.
Job security afforded by working for such a large company.
Cons: Moving up is less about performance than years of service.
Lack of offices and personal space; shared cubicle design.
Somewhat lacking in other benefits compared to the industry (free snacks, free food, work from home).
