A very diverse and talented crowd. Great opportunities to work on cutting-edge stuff.
I've been working for 10 years and started when the salary scale was lower. Now I have peers and lower-grade people entering from other companies and earning way more than me. The increments every year don't do enough to raise the base pay to what the market pays. Even though HR claims they equalize to the market, I happen to be just above the minimum bar and I don't get flagged in such checks. It hurts to work really hard to be paid far worse than your peers. I'll probably quit the company eventually just for this reason.
Extremely bureaucratic. Every little thing goes through an enormous amount of process, slowing things down. I've spent several weeks just writing documents and PowerPoint to get approval for work that takes 2-3 days. At this rate, Intel can never catch up with the current fast-moving world.
Treat your old employees at least as well as you value your brand new entrants. We've been loyal and deserve to be paid equally.
Phone interview followed by a full-day interview session. Met with many people in one-hour, back-to-back interviews – it was exhausting. Each person covered a different area, with some overlap. It was okay to not know the answer to some questions,
Usually, a phone pre-screen interview is followed by an on-site interview. However, I received a call from the recruiting manager a couple of days after the interview stating they had stopped recruiting for the 2018 new grad positions. The interview
5 rounds of on-site interview. Two in the morning, one lunch interview and two in the afternoon. They were very friendly and did not ask many technical questions. They only asked me to introduce myself and go over the resume and talk about my skills.
