Intel has a lot of intelligent people who have a wealth of knowledge. The salaries at Intel are competitive, and probably around the market average. You get full benefits and a decent retirement plan. Every site has an onsite gym and other amenities to take a break from work. If you don't like to sit in a cubicle, there are many common areas where you can work.
Intel's location is not particularly the best. Like any large company, you can be lost in the crowd. Some groups offer rotation programs. Due to the size of the company, some jobs are small in scope, and you are unable to see the big picture.
