Software Engineer Co-Op Interview Experience - Rochester, New York
Process
I first met the recruiters at an on-campus workshop they were hosting. After the workshop, they asked for volunteers to present based on what we had just been taught. I volunteered and ended up showing them some of my code.
After that, they scheduled me for a technical interview on my campus, where I was asked one programming question and then some behavioral ones.
Questions
I don't remember the exact question, but it was something with string manipulation.

Intuit Work Experiences
- 1.0Zero support for co-opsSoftware Engineer Co-Op • Former EmployeeMay 11, 2022Pros: Good pay, good Covid leave.Cons: I was put into a team that had nothing to do with my experience. When I brought it up, they said there’s no real venue to change teams. There was no real orientation for devs to get to know the internal tools, and I had to basically learn everything myself. That, plus an abundance of useless meetings that were mandatory, made it an awful experience that made me self-doubt my own skills as a developer.
- 5.0Great Culture, Career GrowthSoftware Engineer Co-Op • Current EmployeeSan Diego, California, United StatesAugust 29, 2016Pros: Intuit has a positive working culture and productive environment. So far, I feel like I have learned a lot and am continuing to benefit my career.Cons: I have not encountered many cons at Intuit. The interview process could be more standardized so that people know what to expect.
- 5.0Brilliant, Cool TeamSoftware Engineer Co-Op • Former EmployeeMountain View, California, United StatesOctober 26, 2020Pros: A lot of the people that you'll work with on a day-to-day basis are really cool people, on top of being brilliant engineers.Cons: Not all that many cons. Sometimes there's old tech/stacks that slow things down, but that happens to a 40-year-old software company.
