Pros

Friendly and helpful teammates.

Solid onboarding process.

Was grateful that I was given an opportunity to code React front-end web apps with this company. It was challenging, but in a good way, to keep up with their systems and capabilities using a modern tech stack they had in place.

Cons

I didn’t like how contractors didn’t get the opportunity to join team meetings with directors of the product I was developing, and also other team meetings. I also didn’t like how, as a contractor, I had to ask for reviews every once in a while, as I was told the managers are technically not allowed to coach due to Intuit policies based on past lawsuits.

Advice to Management

I would like to propose including contractors in more team meetings.

I would also like to have 1-on-1 meetings with managers to help them grow their careers and work ethic.
