Pros

Most people are great to work with. The development teams are full of great talent, and collaboration on the front line is excellent.

Facilities are very good.

What we produce is very good, and I take great pride in our products.

Senior leadership communicates often and is fairly in touch with the workers.

Cons

Compensation is not based on performance, or is at least very inconsistent and vague.

Childish office politics and lack of respect for employees have grown in recent years.

Almost a complete lack of leadership from middle management, who spend more time covering their own interests than those of their reports.

It has shifted dramatically from an environment of development and creativity into a rampant focus on failure, fear, and discouragement.

Advice to Management

Focus on success and reward employees who keep your customers happy. This is not the case right now. When the job market improves, I expect to see a large number of people leaving.
