Pros

Total compensation is very good.

Community involvement and "we care and give back" show genuine interest in the community.

Efforts to 'reinvent' itself could lead to interesting greenfield opportunities.

Cons

It can take a long, long time to make a decision.

Efforts to 'reinvent' itself are causing a lot of churn. There is a clear high-level vision, but management is having real trouble executing on the vision.

Many technical folks have a lot of catching up to do. Desktop focus and writing everything from scratch is making it hard for many to come to terms with online innovation.

Processes around IT delivery (virtual containers, networking, computing capability in general) are so broken that it takes a monumental effort to get new work done.

Advice to Management

Straighten out sorely dysfunctional IT delivery processes, or you'll have to watch it all fall apart.
