Then, a call with a hiring manager.

Next, a technical collaboration.

Finally, the final round of interviews, which consisted of a system design interview, leadership interview, hiring manager interview, and two coding challenges.

I struggled with the technical collaboration and system design interview, but everyone in those interviews was helpful.

Overall, everyone was super friendly.

Pros: Work is easy and benefits are ok.

Cons: AI first initiative is making everyone lazy and less competent. SRE department head was fired due to office politics. Anyone with actual internal domain knowledge was either laid off or left the company. You will be on call every other week due to attrition and inability to hire new talent, most likely due to low compensation packages. Oh, and the company is experimenting with a hiring freeze until at least the end of 2026. Yikes.

Pros: People are open to questions, and there is a great work-life balance with nice perks.

Cons: It can feel a little isolating with so much of the company remote and not too much work done to build community, and communication between different departments within engineering is not great.
