Android Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

First Round: Call with HR to discuss background and interest in FB. Then, several multiple-choice questions on Android. If you answer enough questions correctly, you move on to the next round.

Second Round: Technical Phone Interview. An engineer from the Android Team will call and ask coding questions. Coderpad is used, and compile is disabled.

In retrospect, I was not prepared enough for the interview. The questions are not really that hard. I personally totally stumbled on a binary tree traversal question due to lack of preparation. Be sure to review all known algorithm questions of mid-difficulty level before the interview.

Questions

Given inorder and postorder traversals, reconstruct a binary tree.

Some string manipulation questions.
