I was found by a recruiter on LinkedIn.
I had a phone interview with the recruiter. She gave me an overview of the company and the position, including the role's environment.
After a 20-minute conversation, she asked if I had time for a 25-minute technical interview.
Afterwards, she asked me to submit my resume and stated that the hiring manager would make a decision on whether I would go on to the next step, a comprehensive phone interview.
The recruiter replied by email the following week that I did not make the cut.

Cons: PE has fewer teams to choose from when considering internal transfer or initial joining. If in any locations instead of MPK, the choices are even fewer.

Pros: I love working with the smartest people on the planet and problems at incredible scale. The open culture is a bit shocking at first, but you'll get used to it.
You are only limited by your own skills and imagination. Having a 6-week bootcamp where you just learn how things work and have virtually zero obligations is a great way of onboarding people. I worked with 4 different teams before deciding what I want to focus on and couldn't be happier.
Cons: If you have worked in the industry for a while, it's hard to transition to FB culture. The culture infra teams try really hard to hold your hand, but there is only so much they can do.

Pros: The best thing about a Facebook internship is definitely the culture and the benefits.
My team was very relaxed, and I didn't feel pressured to overwork. Free food as an intern is great.
Cons: Working for a giant corporation can sometimes be depressing in a moral way because you worry a lot about whether you're actually ruining people's lives.
