Pros: All the perks and crazy campus amenities you could want. Compensation was good.
Cons: The company is very large, and the thing you work on is probably very small. In my case, it was also many layers removed from the user. It was hard for me to see my impact, and at times it felt like my team and manager had forgotten about me.

Toxic Culture, Bonus Points

Pros: Good pay, benefits, and perks, including free food.
Cons: Toxic culture based on performance reviews. They literally give you bonus points if you "generate" or "feed" work for other engineers. They don't value good work, elegant design, or reliable software. Instead, they value the number of bugs and issues fixed. Hence, people write crappy software with lots of bugs and then either fix bugs or, more often, hire another engineer to rewrite the whole thing, and the cycle repeats. No wonder Metaverse didn't take off, and they are laying off people.

Pros: Besides the usual (brilliant people, delicious free meals for breakfast/lunch/dinner, beautiful campus, great benefits, cutting-edge technology, etc.), I was surprised by how open the information transfer is from team to team and how much flexibility and options there are for career growth.
Cons: Despite the great salary, the cost of living in the area is still a pain point.
