Cons: Pressure to move up or get kicked out. Rewarded for starting new, exciting projects; nobody is maintaining the old tech debt projects.
During my time, management was too obsessed with VR/Metaverse, which doesn't bring in money. Maybe it's better now with a new focus on AI.
