Move fast or get broken
Production Engineer • Former Employee
Menlo Park, California, United States
May 13, 2024
Pros: Working on the best tech with smart people.
Great pay, great benefits.
Disney-land like campus if you're at HQ in Menlo Park.
Tip: Publish and promote your work. You will be judged on what you promote. Quietly doing good work isn't enough.
Cons: Pressure to move up or get kicked out. Rewarded for starting new, exciting projects; nobody is maintaining the old tech debt projects.
During my time, management was too obsessed with VR/Metaverse, which doesn't bring in money. Maybe it's better now with a new focus on AI.
