One year ago, two friends of mine applied for the Level 5 (Senior) SWE position. They were then promptly rejected at the HR level because Facebook said they didn't have at least 5 years of working experience.
This year, I applied through an employee referral for the same position and was promptly rejected at the HR level because Facebook said I don't have at least 6 years of working experience.
I can only imagine what happens next year with this position.
