Process
I had an interview when it was Facebook. :)
It was an absolutely standard process.
But the HR here is absolutely awful. You do not feel like an important candidate at all. During the entire process, I had to ask for answers to simple questions many times. And most of the time, they just ignored me.
It's been around a year since my interviews, but I still haven't received any kind of feedback. I didn't like it at all.
Questions
- Create a number format from the input string (as discussed in the initial interview).
- Move 0 to the end (a problem found on LeetCode).
- System design involved adding the ability for Facebook to show where friends are physically.

Good internal tools.
Good learning opportunities.
Smart people working.
Good facilities, while the offices were open.
Cons: Can't agree with some of the company values.
Also, what they advertise as company values, they don't actually adhere to.
Censorship, and toxic culture in general. You can't be open unless you support a particular side. People have been driven out by the toxic culture for having wrong opinions, unless they are able to suppress themselves.
As engineers, you will have to constantly look for what to work on; this adds extra responsibilities. There are very few product managers, program managers, etc., so all those responsibilities have to be taken by engineers.
Too fast-paced, sometimes just for the sake of pace or 'impact'.
Unstructured environment. Teams will continue recruiting more and more without having much clarity on what to work on.
