Pros: Company has good technology, AI capability, and great contributions to the AI community.
Good compensation.
Perks have been trimmed but are still better than the market.
Great culture for inclusivity; great colleagues.
Recent flattening in the manager chain is a step in the right direction to solve the empire-building problem.
Cons: Stagnated product direction, reorg often, which directly impacts the possibility of IC direction contribution.
New bets are too new to be reliable.
Layoffs hurt morale.
44 hours/week is manageable and not overstretched. However, there are many things to do and not enough time for learning new things (outside of the day-to-day job).
