Software Engineer • Current Employee
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
March 31, 2023
Pros: 1. Very competitive salary, stock grant, and benefits in the Toronto Region.
2. Big tech on resume.
3. Solving world-level problems. No longer work in companies that just do CRUD or call other services. Build frameworks for others, solving big data/huge data problems.
4. Talented co-workers, the very best you can think of.
Cons: Layoffs really hurt the culture. Peer pressure and an impact-driven culture can be toxic, leading to a fast pace. Sometimes it can be a metric game.
