Process

I was contacted after submitting my resume at a job fair.

I had one phone interview with an engineer. The interview included a fairly straightforward problem to solve on an online coding website.

Next, I was invited to interview at one of their larger offices. I chose Seattle and was flown out for an interview.

On my interview day, 13 other people were also interviewing. That day, I received breakfast and lunch at the company cafeteria and had interviews with 3 engineers.

One engineer asked me how I would implement, create, and solve a maze.

Another asked me to code a translation from base 26 to decimal.

Questions

I was asked:

  1. How would I implement, in OO code, a maze?
  2. Given that implementation, how would I design an algorithm to solve that maze?
  3. How would I create a random maze from scratch with an algorithm?

Was this helpful?
