Pros: Everything is fine at Meta.

Cons: I love working at Meta; I do not provide any cons.

Pros: Most skillful engineers in the country.

Cons: In my position, I had a lot of influence in hiring and terminating employees. I have been exposed to dubious decisions in that area by upper management; actions taken without good heart and with conflicts of interest. This behavior could only thrive in our cult-like company, where truly speaking your mind could hurt your career. Quite ironically, the values of giving constant feedback are encouraged at Facebook, but in reality, employees are afraid of giving negative feedback, as they know the potential devastating consequences of doing so. Negative feedback will be given about technical decisions and ideas, but not about managerial decisions or the human resource department, from fear of upsetting the wrong people.

Pros: A data engineer is at the center of data-driven decision making.

Cons: Public sentiment meta stock is declining.
