Pay and benefits are excellent. The company is full of very smart people.
Even as a non-senior engineer, politics are impossible to avoid. You may not even realize you're wrapped up in them because they happen so far above you.
You will have to constantly chase "impact," which may be difficult to quantify depending on your team and function.
Lower-level team culture is good, but the company "values" are a farce and non-existent.
Do not speak up against changes within the company. You will be retaliated against, and Meta will mask retaliation as layoffs or performance-based attrition.
The disconnect between upper and lower management causes layoffs and inefficiency.
Upper management seems quite out of touch with reality.
